(1) Tool holder is not securely clamped

If the tool becomes loose during machining, first check whether the pressure has reached the specified level. If the pressure is insufficient, reapply it using a pressurizing tool to ensure accuracy. Next, inspect the tool holder bore and the tool shank for cleanliness—remove any debris or oil buildup before re-clamping the tool. Additionally, if hydraulic system leakage occurs due to damaged seals, this will also result in inadequate clamping force; in such cases, the seals should be replaced immediately.

(II) Excessive Radial Runout of the Cutting Tool

When the radial runout of the cutting tool exceeds the allowable range, first check whether the insertion depth of the tool is correct. If the insertion depth is insufficient or too deep, adjust it to the standard depth and re-clamp the tool. If the issue persists, inspect the tool holder’s internal bore for wear or damage—use a specialized measuring tool for this purpose. If the bore is severely worn, the tool holder will need to be repaired or replaced. Additionally, inherent quality issues with the tool itself, such as excessive cylindrical tolerance errors in the tool shank, can also cause excessive radial runout; in such cases, the tool should be replaced with a qualified one.

(III) Unstable Hydraulic System Pressure

Unstable pressure may be caused by hydraulic oil contamination, insufficient oil levels, or malfunctioning pressurization tools. First, check the cleanliness and oil level of the hydraulic fluid. If the oil is severely contaminated, replace it promptly; if the oil level is low, top it up to the specified mark. Next, inspect the operational status of the pressurization tools—ensure that pressure sensors are accurate and the hydraulic pump is functioning properly. If any pressurization tool is found to be faulty, it should be repaired or replaced as needed.
