SDC Rear Pull Chuck

Performance Description
The rear pull collet is used in various mechanical machining applications for clamping purposes. As a type of collet, it serves as the connection tool between the tool holder and CNC cutting tools, typically used in conjunction with a rear pull shank. This collet is primarily employed for holding tools during drilling, milling, reaming, tapping, and grinding operations. Featuring a spring steel strip with a slotted design, it provides a wide clamping range while maintaining excellent radial runout accuracy. Different models of rear pull collets are designed to securely hold specific types of cutting tools.
Available in different specifications based on the clamping diameter range: SDC06 holds tools with diameters from 3 to 6 mm, SDC08 accommodates tools ranging from 3 to 8 mm in diameter, and SDC12 can clamp tools with diameters between 3 and 12 mm. Additionally, these models are categorized by precision into Class A, Class AA, and Class AAA.

Precautions for using the rear tube clamp:
1. Never tighten the nut without first installing the cutting tool, as this could damage the collet. Improper assembly methods may, over time, lead to collet deformation, loss of concentricity, and even cause the nut to break.
2. When assembling, be sure to use the correct collet. First, combine the collet with the nut before inserting it into the tool holder. The cutting tool must be inserted into the collet to a depth of at least two-thirds of the collet’s diameter.
